Designed for the previously announced Electro-Optical Infrared (EOIR) system, ThermalCapture Fusion Zoom, TeAx Technology unveils its latest development for the global drone industry: A powerful computing environment, designed for the full radiometric EOIR system ThermalCapture Fusion Zoom. Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Algorithms – in real-time with access to optical and thermal data? Yes, the future is today with TeAx Technology: Meet the new add-on ThermalCapture Smart+.

WILNSDORF, Germany, 1st September 2017 – TeAx Technology, an innovative, trend-setting solution provider for thermal imaging technology within the global drone industry unveiled its latest product: ThermalCapture Smart+, an add-on designed for dual camera (EOIR system) ThermalCapture Fusion Zoom, which provides a computing processing power unit. With NVIDIA technology, a full up and running Linux system is ready for action: “When we designed the ThermalCapture Smart+ for ThermalCapture Fusion Zoom, the most important thing after weight and reliability was indeed to create a solution, which is open and flexible as much as possible”, Stefan Thamke, one of the founders and CEOs of TeAx Technology, says. And he continues, “There is nothing more frustrating, than being limited by the tools you use, when developing new, leading ideas and technology for your clients”, Thamke says.

Drone research and development made easier: A full Linux computer in a small package.

The EOIR system ThermalCapture Fusion Zoom along with the ThermalCapture Smart+ was designed to make access to thermal and RGB data as simple and easy as possible. Providing a full up and running Linux environment, R&D and Lab teams will no longer waste any time with setups, but can rather focus on their actual mission: “We created a solution, which enables researchers and developers to finally run applications or complex algorithms directly with the camera”, Thamke explains some of the benefits. ThermalCapture Smart+ can be used by all clients, who are working with a ThermalCapture Fusion Zoom.

The luxury of full control, real time I/O and data privacy.

TeAx Technology established itself as an innovative engineering company for the global drone industry. Its mission ever since has been to continuously define and establish new, leading trends. “Watching the global drone industry over the last four years in regards to drone thermal imaging solutions, it is great to see that we as TeAx Technology had a major influence on where the industry is today – actually, we would like to think that we even started shaping it” Michael Thoss, VP Sales & Marketing at TeAx Technology reflects. And he continues “Looking at the global drone industry right now, we feel that the need for accessing data in real-time and being in full control – not only for data privacy reasons – has strongly increased”, Thoss evaluates. “Watching those trends and given the latest product development of the so far leading dual camera ThermalCapture Fusion Zoom, it really was a no brainer for TeAx to undertake the development of an add-on, to be able to provide an AI-ready EOIR system”, Thoss continues. “I am truly excited that we now can provide a solution for the global drone industry, where the leading drone labs, researchers, but also innovative drone operators can unfold their full creativity in order to develop the future. From today onwards, we certainly make that possible” Michael Thoss explains further.

The future today: ThermalCapture Fusion Zoom and ThermalCapture Smart+

From my point of view, the biggest advantages of our ThermalCapture Smart+ is, that clients have the full freedom to develop totally on their own – completely independent. We don’t limit our clients to only one approach of using an intelligent camera. Instead, we are providing the platform for them. We indeed see us as an enabler here: Regardless, if one wants to approach a solution via Computer Vision, Deep Learning / Neural Networks or other AI-related approaches, we in fact do provide the compatible, complete EOIR system for those ventures.” Stefan Thamke stated some of the technical capabilities.
